I’ve been preaching through the Gospel of Mark - using some of the Resources of Warren Wiersbe’s book: Be Diligent. (And a lot of other commentaries and study tools)

(Last week was a tough topic -presenting the End Times -since a lot of the stuff was Dispensational or preterist in nature and I presented all the different End time views) Anyways, This week we look at the Servant:

I. In Bethany - adored

II. In the Upper Room - betrayed.

III. In the Garden - forsaken.

IV. In the High Priest’s Palace - rejected.

V. In Pilate’s Hall - condemned.

Lots of meat here with addressing the Passion of the Christ.

This week’s Sermon from Mark 13 of the Olivet Discourse tells us that:

I. Don’t Be Deceived.
II. Don’t Be Discouraged.
III. Delight in my Words.
IV. Day is Unknown.

This week we’ll be looking at Mark 11, 12 and the Servant in Jerusalem.

We’re looking at the Servant as:

I. King

II. Judge

III. Prophet.

This Sunday our study is from Mark 10.

Jesus gave us five important lessons that can be expressed in five succinct, paradoxical statements.

I. Two Shall be One.

II. Adults shall be as Children.

III. The First Shall be Last.

IV. Servants shall be Rulers.

V. The Poor become Rich.

Jesus gives us victory from:

I.Danger
II.Demons
III.Disease
IV. Death.

Mark 3:13 - 4:34.

Jesus founded a:

I. A new Nation

II. A New Family.

II. A New Kingdom.

We’re Starting our “Be Diligent” series on the Gospel of Mark.

II. The Servant’s Sympathy.

This  past Sunday’s message is on the Spiritual discipline and art of confession.

The Passage is Psalms 51.

Confession:

I. Appeals to God’s mercy and Love.

II. Acknowledges our Sins to God.

II. Understands where we are and where God wants us to be.

IV. Helps us for with renewal and restoration.

V. Resolves to offer grateful service.

VI. Praying for God’s purpose.
